Do Tenure and Title Matter?
Corporate America runs on tenure and title. The longer you have been somewhere the higher your title is likely to be. Furthermore, your tenure may suggest greater knowledge of a given organization. While tenure and title are helpful for allowing an Investor Relations Officer to fly solo. These metrics do not always represent the best artbiters of value for investors. Rather, for investors, value comes from learning new information or new ways of thinking. There are not many investors likely to take an NDR meeting with the Senior Manager of Investor Relations flying solo.
